天鹅座中央
天鹅座北十字的中心是超巨星天津一（天鹅座γ），正好也在这张太空景观图的中央。这个区域处于我们银河系的星系盘上，满是恒星、尘埃云和炽热星云。整个区域宽3度（相当于天空中6个满月的视角），包括发射星云IC1318、疏散星团NGC6910。天津一的左边，被长长的暗尘带分开的，形状象发光的两翼的，是IC1318，通俗的名字叫蝴蝶星云。天津一的左上是年轻的、仍紧密地聚在一起的星团NGC6910。
