北卡罗莱纳上空的月全食

下周二月亮好象会消失一阵子。这张照片是2003年在美国北卡罗莱纳州拍的月全食照片。照片是多次曝光、数码增强而成的time-lapse（译成时间推移，桑林志认为译成间隔拍摄更贴切，是一种摄影技术）照片，显示3小时月全食过程中月球如何变暗、全食时月面的红色及逐渐生光。
地球运行到月球和太阳之间时，月球从地球的影子中穿过，满月会变暗。全食时月面反射由地球大气散射到月面的光而呈各种颜色，以红色常见。下次月全食要到2008年2月。
